The following publication “Long-lasting BDNF signaling alterations in the amygdala of adolescent female rats exposed to the activity-based anorexia model” is showing us that a spontaneous activity behavior test such as Volontary wheels is ideal to characterize an anorexia phenotype that “caused hyperactivity”. With the help of our dedicated “ACTIVW-SOFT “software and “BIO-ACTIVW” Wheels, one can get accurate results of activity over the circadian cycle, see the disruption of that cycle and show hyperactivity, including in daylight when animals are supposedly resting.
Thank you Francesca Mottarlini and team from the Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences(Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy) for using our wheels and sharing your publication with us !
