Présentation
Le Test de Préférence de Place Thermique de Bioseb, ou Test Nociceptif de Choix entre 2 Températures, est un test indépendant de l'opérateur pour étudier les seuils de douleur chez les rongeurs (rats et souris) par l'évaluation de la préférence de température (zone de confort thermal) - un outil innovant pour vos recherches sur l'analgésie et l'analgésie, ouvrant de nouveaux champs d'étude.
Comme l’a décrit et publié A. MOQRICH dans Moqrich et al (Science 2005, 307: 1468-72), ce test permet de réaliser des travaux sur des animaux non contraints (rats et souris), libres de choisir la position qu'ils préfèrent entre 2 zones à des températures différentes (zone de confort). Cet outil comportemental permet ainsi de monitorer la préférence thermale ainsi que de rechercher les seuils de nociception et de déterminer l'influence de certains gènes ou substances sur ces seuils associés aux simulis chauds ou froids.
Ce test à l'avantage d'être opérateur-indépendant, contrairement aux tests sur plaque froide ou/et chaude : L'utilisation des plaques traditionnelles permet de définir une réponse de l'animal (rat ou souris) en durée d'exposition à une température, durée mesurée par un opérateur. A l'inverse, le Test de Choix entre Deux Températures donne une réponse sans intervention ni interprétation de l'opérateur, et la valeur trouvée est une température (ou une plage de température).
Deux animaux peuvent être traités en même temps et de façon indépendante l'un de l'autre, rendant le système particulièrement attractif et efficace pour vos recherches en analgésie.
Principe de fonctionnement
Facile à paramétrer:
En utilisant le logiciel optionnel de détection automatique de la position de l'animal, l'opérateur définit la température de chacune des 2 zones. Puis, une fois les températures stabilisées, il place les animaux et lance l'acquisition. La présence de l'opérateur n'est ensuite plus nécessaire.
Si le logiciel de détection automatique de la position de l'animal n'est pas utilisé, l'opérateur définit manuellement les 2 températures et un chronométrage manuel est alors indispensable.
Durant l'expérience, pour chaque animal (rat ou souris), l'opérateur peut visualiser à l'écran la position ou le déplacement. Les fichiers de données 'brutes' d'acquisition sont enregistrées en format propriétaire protégé pour répondre aux BPL, une version .txt de ces fichiers peut être utilisée pour des analyse complémentaires sous MS Excel.
