Présentation
Le Rotarod est un test standard pour la coordination motrice, l'équilibre et la fatigue des rongeurs. Il constitue une solution idéale pour étudier les lésions du système nerveux central (SNC), les effets de différentes pathologies et substances pharmacologiques sur l'activité motrice et la résistance à la fatigue.
Désormais encore plus simple d'utilisation! La nouvelle interface utilisateur graphique et tactile permet une visualisation claire de la vitesse et des temps associés à chaque piste. Vous pouvez maintenant changer de mode, régler la vitesse et créer des protocoles directement depuis l'écran principal for une une plus grande flexibilité et un maximum de fonctionnalités.
Principes de fonctionnement
L'animal est placé sur le tambour à voies multiples du ROTAROD et le temporisateur démarre. Lorsque l'animal tombe, en toute sécurité dans son propre couloir, le temps de chute (en minutes et secondes) et la vitesse de rotation sont automatiquement enregistrés. Une cloison amovible supérieure est inclue sur les modèles LE8305 et LE8505 (modèles pour 4 rats) afin d'éviter les interférences entre les animaux qui courent dans des voies adjacentes.

Le ROTAROD est contrôlé par un microprocesseur de pointe qui offre un contrôle précis du temps et de la vitesse. La rotation peut être réglée, électroniquement, à une vitesse constante (4-40 rpm), à l'aide d'un cadran sur le panneau avant. Le taux d'accélération peut également être sélectionné à un moment défini (30 sec., 1, 2, 5 ou 10 min).
Le ROTAROD de BIOSEB peut également être utilisé avec le logiciel SEDACOM (nouvelle version disponible !), interface informatique qui offre un moyen facile et pratique pour visualiser et exporter les données sur un ordinateur pour une analyse plus approfondie via des ports RS 232/USB.
