Abstract
The most common complication of herpes zoster infection is postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). Many studies have investigated the causes and treatments of PHN. In addition, patients with herpes zoster infection frequently complain of neuropathic pruritus, which can be accompanied by pain1 . However, in contrast to neuropathic pain after herpes zoster infection, there are no studies investigating the characteristics and pathological mechanism of postherpetic pruritus in the medical literature.
